Who we are

What we collect
Quote and contact requests. When you send a form we receive your name, email address, telephone number and whatever you tell us about the project, so we can price the work and reply.
Orders. When you buy from the shop we receive your billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, the items ordered and any note you add to the order. We keep the order record so we can supply, invoice and warrant the goods.
Payment. Card details are entered on and processed by our payment provider. We never see or store a full card number.
Live chat. The chat window is provided by Housecall Pro. Anything you type into it, plus your name and contact details if you give them, is stored by that provider on our behalf.
Account. If you create an account we store the username, email address and the addresses you save. You can edit or delete them at any time from My Account.
Server logs. Our host records IP addresses, browser identifiers and requested pages for security and troubleshooting. These logs rotate automatically.
Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or a third-party analytics suite, so there is no consent banner on this site. The cookies actually set are:
Strictly necessary. WooCommerce sets cookies that hold your basket contents, your session and the security tokens for checkout. Blocking them stops the shop working.
Order attribution. WooCommerce also stores first-party cookies (names beginning sbjs_) recording how you arrived at the site: direct, search, or a referring link. We use it to know which channels bring enquiries. It is not shared with an ad network.
Live chat. Housecall Pro sets its own cookies so a conversation survives a page change.
Your browser settings let you block or delete any of these. Basket and checkout will not work without the necessary ones.
Who else sees your data
We share only what a supplier needs to do its job: the payment provider, the carrier or freight line delivering your order, our email delivery service, the live chat provider, and our hosting company. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not send it outside these suppliers for marketing.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and warranty obligations require. Quote requests that do not become orders are kept for up to three years so we can honour a price or pick a project back up. Chat transcripts follow the retention set by the chat provider. Ask us and we will delete anything we are not obliged to keep.
Your choices
Write to paul@skfenceco.com to ask for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will reply within thirty days. Deletion cannot cover records we must keep by law, such as invoices. Marketing email, if you have opted into any, carries an unsubscribe link in every message.
Children
This site is aimed at property owners and contractors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, administrative access is restricted, and payment data never touches our server. No system is perfect: if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you and the appropriate authority without undue delay.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced on the site.
